“…sponsoring an Inside Out Faith Event affords a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity of people of faith. Jennifer’s willingness to share her personal journey of faith is a natural catalyst inviting and encouraging those around her to share their own stories.”
Rev. Jason Alspaugh
American Baptist Minister
” if you listen to her closely, the common chords you’ll hear are love, acceptance, and grace.”
Rev. Marcy Bain

“It was an excellent evening, one that will be remembered fondly for a very long time. So glad that you have chosen, courageously to offer your music and your story together. The world is changing. It is getting better. And you are helping to make it so.”

Hey folks, get your comments started here.
If you’ve attended Inside Out Faith…jot down what you walked away with…
Thank you for being such a strong presence for those who are going through a similar journey as you. You are helping to spread love, the word of the Lord, and hope to many. I will be praying for you and this event. Please come to Minnesota! That would be wonderful!
You were one of the first Christian artists whom I listened to when I started listening to Christian music again. Maggie B & you were two of my favs & played a role in me rededicating my life to the Lord, after a long journey & struggle. (different reasons from yours, but is it really so different? I think not!) I truly miss you singing & playing Christian songs. My oldest grandson is gay & I love him with all of my heart. I hope that one day he will accept Jesus as his savior, unfortunately the pastor at their former church refused to pray with my daughter for him. He had been bullied at school & was having a difficult time with his father, whom wasn’t as accepting. Shame that some churches are like that. Just saying that I would absolutely listen to you to singing the songs that give encouragement for those that are seekers and/or already Christians. All of us were fearfully & wonderfully made in HIS image.
Just heard you in KC on LGBT radio for the first time giving an interview. I was impressed by your thoughtfulness, your music, and your courtesy. Unusual these days. Then I was surprised to hear someone else gay is also Christian, grew up in Ks., and wants a peaceful dialogue with others who may be straight and Christian or gay and not Christian. I’m so tired of getting caught in the crossfire of the 2 sides. And the isolation from both sides is alot of work. Hope to see you someday.
My introduction to Jennifer Knapp occurred during her Inside OUT Faith performance at the Sayville Congregational Church in New York- I was mesmerized by both her storytelling and musical talent. I don’t know if it was the acoustics or what, but she played the hell out of that guitar! She was awesome! Her encouragement for ALL God’s children to follow his word and grow in faith was uplifting to LGBT and straight alike. She urges her audience to persist on their spiritual path despite the intolerance encountered in most Christian congregations. She assures us that all we need to do is search, and we will indeed find a faith community that supports our spiritual journey without condemning the choices we make when it comes to love…. After the show, I had the opportunity to speak with her and purchase her ‘Letting Go” cd. I am now a die hard fan ! I believe God speaks to us in myriad ways, and one of them is through Jennifer Knapp!
just wondering… yesterday i posted a super positive comment here regarding your appearance at the sayville congregational church in new york about a month ago, and it looks like it was deleted- i apologize if i wrote anything that might be considered offensive in some way-? i wrote that your storytelling and songs inspired me to continue searching for a faith community that is accepting of ALL God’s children, and that i am now a die hard fan after enjoying your show, and purchasing your cd. am curious as to why my post was deleted?… it was worded a heck of a lot better than this one, and contained far more accolades !
LOVE LOVE LOVE, thanks so much to the both of you for being such a big part of our AMAZING day! These ptiucres are fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier. xoxo
